F Michael Hemmer, LS, P.C. was formed as a New York State Professional Corporation in April of 2005.  Michael Hemmer has been licensed Professional Land Surveyor since 1987.   The professional corporation was formed three years after Michael and east end native John Landi, had been surveying together on a part time basis.  During the part time years, John was working as a master carpenter and Michael was computing the alignment of superconducting magnets for the construction of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory.  The successful commisioning of RHIC and the enthusiastic response of John to the practice of land surveying in the field, created the opportunity to start the company.   Native Sag Harbor resident Karen (Cilli) Sperling and Shelter Island resident Patrick Donahue complete the staffing of the firm as Office Manager and Intrument Operator.  The firm is committed to serving its clients in a personal, timely and efficient manner.
